This edition of The Five Count featured an exclusive interview with Emilio Castillo. Emilio is best known as the founder, saxophonist, and vocalist for the band Tower of Power. Known for their horn section and hits like What Is Hip?, So Very Hard to Go, and Don't Change Horses (in the Middle of a Stream), Tower of Power have been a mainstay in R&B for nearly 50 years. During the show he discussed how he started playing music, whether or not Tower of Power's horn section is better than Chicago's, and why Tower of Power is better than golf. It was hipper than hip!
